Obituary

73-year-old David Navarro of Alexandria passed away Jan. 4, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family and friends. He was an Army Vietnam veteran of 25th infantry, 3/4 Calvery, B Troop during 1968-1969 with 2 Bronze Star Medals for Heroic service in a combat zone. Mr. Navarro was born October 7,1948 in Sata Maria, California to his parents, Robert and Alice Navarro. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Navarro, Brother, Robert Navarro Jr and his sister, Sandy Black. He was a Service Technician in the automotive industry. He is survived by his wife, Julie Colmer, his three children, Julie Cotter, David Navarro and Amy (Kevin) Aguilard. His siblings, Terri (Paul) Zenz, Stephanie (Rusty) Kaesser, Susie Kincade, Sophie (Dan) O'Neil, Jessica Sweeden, Diane Navarro and Richard (Evie) Navarro. He is also survived by his Grandchildren, Jeff (Laura) Cotter, Jessica Cotter, Destiny Navarro, Alyssa Navarro, David Navarro, Jonathan Navarro, Allison Aguilard and Emery Aguilard and great-granddaughter, Everette Cotter. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home on Tuesday Jan.11 from 6-8 PM.
